Millésimes

A rare & meticulous selection

All our Millésimes are carefully selected to show the best characters of old Armagnacs. At Clos Martin, we are proud to present a wide range of rare Millésimes, some coming from a single family owned estate and slowly aged in demi-muids or casks. Only a few casks per Millésime are available and always bottled on demand.

1985

100% Folle Blanche

The 1985 Millésime is distilled from a single varietal, the “Folle Blanche”, and comes from a single cask from a single estate, the “Domaine de Courros”. The distillation was carried out in January 1986 by Monsieur Ponsola, one of the region’s professional distillers. The new distillate was transferred to casks made from the local oaks grown on the estate. The precious liquid then waited patiently in the cellars under Denise’s expert eye until it was ready to see the light again.

The 1964 Millésime is distilled from a single varietal, the “Baco” and comes from a single cask from a single estate, the “Château de Gaube”. At Chateau de Gaube, millésimes are not distilled every year but only when the producers feel that optimum conditions are reunited to give life to the best Armagnac. The distillation is continuous in a typical Armagnac type Alembic Still, in the best tradition. Then the Armagnac waits patiently in «Muys» of 3 000 liters made from country oak where it ages slower than it would in a 400 liters barrel.
